ABOUT

The Fleuriet family has been practicing the job of wine growers for several generations. One of the cellars dates back to 1735. The SCEV Fleuriet "Cave de le Petite Fontaine" is a family winegrowing estate run by Emmanuel and Jean-Paul Fleuriet. Father and son carry out the work in the vineyards , the whole wine-making process and the packaging of their Sancerre wines (AOC) which come exclusively from their wine producing estate.

The family vineyard consists of 12 hectares mostly situated on the village of Verdigny, at the heart of the vineyards of Sancerre.  One part of the vines is planted on the clayey-calcareous hills where some slopes can be as steep as 40% incline. The other part is planted on the calcareous stones plateaux called “caillottes”.

The cellars of the domain are situated at Chaudoux, village of Verdigny-en-Sancerre. They were entirely built by the Fleuriet family as the generations came one after the other. A distinctive feature of these cellars is that they are vaulted, made of freestone and underground, in order to preserve a regular temperature all year round.
