• A single cask, single malt whisky selection
• Distilled at Ardbeg Distillery in 2001; aged 19 years
• Ardbeg is an Islay distillery founded officially in 1815 but distilling records at the site date from even earlier than that; known primarily for single malts aged in re-fill and ex-bourbon casks, the distillery has been experiencing increasing popularity over the last few years and bottlings are in high demand
• Aged for more than 10 years in a re-fill barrel and then re-casked in a single ex-bourbon barrel for a further 9 years
• Burning leaves and apple turnover on the nose lead to a full-bodied palate laced with barbeque smoke and tangerine rind with pine and roasted hazelnuts on the finish
• 51.8% ABV; only 216 bottles were produced and released exclusively in the US
