For twenty years, La Maison du Whisky has journeyed to Kentucky to handpick exclusive single barrels from Buffalo Trace, forging a transatlantic relationship that devoted enthusiasts monitor with relentless fascination. The 2026 Ruby edition is spectacular. Pulled directly from Barrel 479, this uncut expression arrives at a commanding 120 proof, delivering an unadulterated glimpse into the legendary metal-clad walls of Warehouse H. It’s frankly astonishing how much depth this barrel yielded.

Warehouse H creates completely unique aging conditions. Because Albert B. Blanton insisted on metal construction, the dramatic temperature fluctuations force the spirit deep into the oak staves, extracting heavy layers of caramel and complex spice that define the quintessential Blanton’s profile. This high-rye mashbill shines here. Drinking it straight from the barrel means you experience the bourbon exactly as the master distiller found it, without any dilution masking its robust, earthy intensity.

Distillery: Buffalo Trace

Release: La Maison du Whisky 2026 (Barrel 479 / Ruby)

Proof: 120 (Straight From The Barrel)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0173/0930/files/product-image_d6902a2c-1187-4bab-8ddd-7af45c5a5689.jpg?v=1793258718
https://dewinespot.co/products/blantons-la-maison-du-whisky-2026-barrel-479-ruby-rubis-edition-120-proof
